The long disappearance of her boyfriend shatters the peaceful life of ophthalmologist Du Jiazhen (played by Liu Ruoying) at a large hospital in Taipei. To lift herself out of her emotional lows, she whimsically places a marriage proposal in the classified ads of a newspaper, hoping to find comfort in a new relationship. The ad attracts a plethora of bizarre suitors (including Wang Chaoming, Niu Chengze, and others) with various ulterior motives, far beyond anything Du Jiazhen could have imagined. However, after interviewing them one by one, she realizes that these individuals are merely after different forms of "desire," and her sighs in their presence are more about her unwillingness to let go of past emotional wounds. When Du Jiazhen decides to make one last effort to salvage her former relationship, she receives unexpected news that either shatters her last glimmer of hope or provides her with a sense of liberation.
