An editor from New York is fascinated by the author of a violent novel and privately investigates his past. A writer's beloved wife is mysteriously murdered. Two years later, he is pursued by a strange beauty, and later his wife suddenly reappears. It turns out that the writer's wife is a notorious thief, being chased for stealing diamonds from smugglers, and the strange beauty is an FBI agent. Eventually, the two women team up, resulting in the bad guys dead, the beauty getting the customer list of the smugglers she wanted, and the writer reconciling with his wife to live happily ever after with the diamonds.
