The story takes place in the early summer of 2007. Down-and-out refugee painter Kim Sung-nam (played by Kim Young-ho) arrives in Paris. However, this creative paradise in the eyes of artists is merely another cage for the impoverished Kim Sung-nam, as he is tormented daily by his longing for his hometown and wife. By chance, Kim Sung-nam meets a beautiful woman named Yoo-jung (played by Park Eun-hye). At this point, his situation and mindset are vastly different from when he first arrived in Paris. Yoo-jung's appearance serves as another shot in the arm, and soon, a passionate love ignites between the lonely man and woman in a foreign land. Just as Kim Sung-nam and Yoo-jung are enjoying their burgeoning romance, news of his wife back in their homeland being pregnant plunges him into a conflict of guilt and remorse. Meanwhile, his relationship with Yoo-jung undergoes a significant change as a result. Faced with the choice between family and love, what decision will Kim Sung-nam make?
