The film tells the story of a man who was once involved in the Vietnam War, and who learns of his long-lost son's suicide. Although he is told that his son jumped to his death while drunk, he becomes suspicious due to his grieving granddaughter, the strange bruises on his son, and the lack of evidence that his son was intoxicated. After the police refuse to reopen the investigation, he decides to uncover the truth behind his son's death himself.
