Filmed by four foreign martial arts enthusiasts trained at Shaolin Temple, "Die Fighting" offers an explosive feast of kung fu. The plot follows the Z-Team, a martial arts group formed at Shaolin Temple, who have just won a prestigious film festival award. The four members—Fabien, Rohan, Didier, and Jess—are excited about making their Hollywood debut, but soon find themselves in a new crisis: a mysterious man claiming to be a "director" kidnaps their loved ones, forcing them to fight for real in his "kung fu film." Every move of the four is captured by hidden cameras, and the Z-Team is compelled to carve a bloody path through the dark underworld of Los Angeles, battling robbers, armed groups, drug lords, judo schools, SWAT teams, and gangs. The ending is unexpected, and everyone must ponder how much one must sacrifice for success. The film can be considered the "true-to-life" debut of the four. In 2000, three young men passionate about Chinese kung fu—Yannick, Fabien Garcia, and Rohan—met at the Shaolin Temple, where they trained in martial arts. In 2003, Rohan's brother Didier joined them, and the four formed the Z-Team along with a film production company dedicated to making Chinese martial arts films. This is Z-Team's first feature film.
