Karen (Dee Wallace-Stone) is a reporter working for a television station, and with her help, the police solve a series of cases committed by the serial killer Eddie (Robert Picardo). Although the event ends satisfactorily, Karen's inner self is deeply hurt. On the advice of a psychologist, she decides to go to a rehabilitation center with her husband Chris (Dennis Dugan) for treatment.
