She does not want to continue studying because her mother has brought home a new man. She wishes to escape from her family and rely on herself. She sends a postcard to Man-man saying she is going to Tottori to see the sea. From her words, Man-man feels an ominous sense and worries that she might do something foolish out of depression, so he rushes to Tottori. On the island, they meet A-tora, who takes them to a small shop owned by his old lover, Seiko. Seiko had chosen her husband over A-tora in the past, but now that her husband has passed away, they reunite and indulge in drinking all night. A-tora chooses to give up once again. Man-man has always found it hard to understand his uncle's actions. Why does he always choose to give up when love, which he has been desperately seeking, finally arrives?
