One morning, Nolan wakes up in the forest to find his hands tied behind a tree. After several unsuccessful attempts to escape, he is tormented by hunger and thirst for days until a hiker finally appears. However, the hiker sets up camp and deliberately ignores him, leaving Nolan confused as to why he is being subjected to such mistreatment. Although the film is shot outdoors, director Marc Sch?lermann creates a unique sense of claustrophobia through the constrained space of Nolan’s bindings, while emphasizing his struggle for survival and offering a different perspective on compassion. This film was selected for the well-known niche genre festival in the U.S., Fantastic Fest.
