The story takes place in the distant year of 1723, a time when vampires and humans coexist. As the vampire king, Kagan (played by Ben Kingsley) drives humans away with his immense power and evil nature. Those who have not yet become the vampires' prey can only hide like ants in the city of Sulfur. Even in such dark times, there are warriors who bravely fight for freedom and light; they are part of a group called "Hellfire." In order to gain more power, Kagan decides to seek the magical artifacts left by his vampire ancestors, which also means that if Kagan succeeds, humanity's end will truly arrive. In the legends, there is a mysterious woman named Rayne (played by Kristanna Loken), who is the only one who knows how to eliminate Kagan.
