T.J. (Devin Brochu) is a 13-year-old boy who has just lost his mother in a car accident. As his father cannot cope with the loss and starts using drugs all day, he has to live with his grandmother. Just when T.J. is at his lowest, a quirky guy bursts into his grandmother's old house. He has greasy long hair, is covered in tattoos, is eccentric, and hates society; he calls himself Heather (Joseph Gordon-Levitt).
