During Christmas 2009, the G8 Summit will be held in Rome, Italy. In preparation for the arrival of the Foreign Minister Kawayoshi (played by Mitsuru Hirata), the Japanese embassy is in a flurry of activity. Meanwhile, the unconventional and sharp-witted diplomat Kuroda Kosuke (played by Yuji Oda) is also dispatched to Rome to handle security and hospitality. On the other hand, single mother Yagami Sayako (played by Yuki Amami) returns to Italy with her daughter, only to have her daughter kidnapped by criminals. During this time, Kuroda and embassy intern Ando Kanae (played by Erika Toda) help Sayako translate and search for clues. To avoid arousing the kidnappers' suspicion, Kuroda poses as Sayako's daughter's father, becoming personally entangled in the kidnapping case. As the G8 Summit draws near, this seemingly ordinary kidnapping case escalates into a major incident… This film is a commemorative work for the 50th anniversary of Fuji Television.
