On a plane, Giya (Kareena Kapoor) encounters a man named Kabir (Arjun Kapoor). To Giya's surprise, this seemingly tough guy is trembling with fear and tears in his eyes. It turns out that Kabir is afraid of flying; his mother used to calm him during flights, but now that she has passed away, Kabir can't help but feel emotional. To comfort Kabir, Giya tightly holds his hand, and a romantic relationship begins. Before long, Giya and Kabir decide to enter the hall of marriage together, but their roles in the family seem to be reversed: Giya works outside to earn money while Kabir stays at home to manage household chores.
