A food factory in a certain city is troubled by “triangle debts,” unable to pay salaries and facing shutdown. To recover outstanding debts, Factory Director Luo forms a debt collection team consisting of the experienced Ma, the clever Ding Zhong, and the beautiful and emotional Xu Xuefei to go to Binhai City. Director Luo himself pretends to be on business in another place to avoid debts. Upon arriving in Binhai, to make a good impression, they rent a beautiful room in a hotel for Xu Xuefei to stay in, while Ma and Ding Zhong share a dormitory in a hostel. They first head to a trading company, where Ding Zhong devises a plan to distract other debt collectors, while Ma engages the female manager, and Xu Xuefei weeps to the accounting department. The three work seamlessly together and succeed in retrieving some debts in their first attempt. Their second target is Tongkou Food Company. Because of a fire at the food factory, all records with this company were destroyed, leaving them with no proof. After investigating, Ding Zhong learns that the company manager is an ambitious man uninterested in women and separated from his wife. He then sets up a “hero saves beauty” scenario, making Ma a frequent visitor at the manager's home, while Xu Xuefei is hired as the company typist, and soon, Ding Zhong also takes a job as a cleaner. One night, Xu Xuefei and Ding Zhong break into the computer center to retrieve the company’s debt records, but fail and are caught by the manager's secretary, Yadan. On the manager's birthday, Xu Xuefei delivers a gift to the manager's office, during which Ding Zhong uses her cover to search Yadan's office for debt evidence, but finds nothing. They decide to come up with new plans. They head to the third debtor, a company called DuXing established by a group of criminals. Ding Zhong learns that DuXing will be smuggling a famous painting, and he plans to use a “switching trick” to take the painting, luring Tongkou Food Company into the scheme, thereby forcing DuXing to agree to redeem the painting for a large sum. Ding Zhong records the entire transaction on video to extort the manager of Tongkou Food Company for repayment, but by this time, Tongkou has voluntarily paid back the debts owed to the food factory. With the help of the manager of Tongkou Food Company, Ding Zhong and his team set up a trap, allowing DuXing to conduct a deal with Hong Kong’s Boss Zhu involving the famous painting, ultimately collecting all the money owed by DuXing. Ding Zhong, Ma, and Xu Xuefei successfully complete their debt recovery mission and leave Binhai City, with Ding Zhong winning Yadan's love, an unexpected outcome of their trip to Binhai.
