The film "Завод" is a work of realism directed by Юрий Быков in 2019. Similar to his previous film "Дурак" (The Fool), the director focuses on the tragic lives of the lower class in Russian society, the ruthless exploitation by economic oligarchs, the greed and corruption of government officials, and the indelible psychological trauma left on veterans by war. The capitalists, in pursuit of higher profits, have laid off workers and even delayed salary payments by six months. The workers are about to lose their source of income and cannot make ends meet. Driven to desperation, six workers take a risky step and decide to rob their factory owner Konstantin Dmitrievich (hereinafter referred to as Kalugin) to demand the overdue wages. Thus, the story unfolds
