Rich young man Simon (played by Stanislas Merhar) deeply loves his girlfriend Arianna (played by Sylvie Testud), to the point of obsession. He wants to know Arianna's daily activities, the things she says, and the people she interacts with; any sign of a potential breakup causes Simon unbearable pain. From a tape of a beach vacation, Simon discovers his girlfriend whispering softly with a girl next to her, which becomes the source of his suffering. What did they say? What is their relationship?
