Following the story of the previous film "Godzilla X Mechagodzilla," a year after the climactic battle with Godzilla, Mechagodzilla was damaged to 37%, losing its right arm and ultimate weapon - the Absolute Zero Cannon. Nobuyuki Nakaido is in charge of repairing Mechagodzilla at the Hachioji base. One day while on vacation at his uncle Nobuichi's villa, a baby fairy from Infant Island unexpectedly appears before them. The fairy offers a warning: creating Mechagodzilla from Godzilla's bones is a serious mistake, and if Mechagodzilla is deployed, Mothra will become humanity's enemy. Nobuichi tries to persuade his old friend, Prime Minister Igarashi, to halt the Mechagodzilla project. Just then, Godzilla's presence re-emerges in the Pacific... 2004 marks the 50th anniversary of Godzilla's debut on the big screen. In the previous film "Godzilla X Mechagodzilla," Mechagodzilla, created from the bones of the first generation Godzilla from 1954, made its first appearance and battled fiercely with Godzilla. This time, the war between Godzilla’s kind is finally reaching its conclusion, with the key being Mothra and the baby fairy from Infant Island, who once attacked Tokyo. Nobuyuki, a linguist who has always protected Mothra and the fairy, hands this mission over to his nephew Yoshito, who works in the Mechagodzilla repair team, perhaps feeling the historical legacy of the Godzilla film series! The thrilling battle scenes showcase iconic Tokyo landmarks such as the National Diet Building and Tokyo Tower being destroyed, with an intensity that surpasses previous films. The special effects are top-notch, and the emotional connections between characters are also worth noting. The inner conflicts of Yoshito and the complex emotions involving the operators are deeply portrayed.
