In Paris, just after winter, Anna meets her husband Clément's friend, Saro. Anna is always worried about Saro, feeling that he is not a good person. Clément is quick-tempered and soon has a falling out with his father, the owner of the company, and resigns from the family factory. Their poor financial situation always leaves Anna frowning, and to make her happy, Clément decides to take her to a nightclub for some fun.
