A family of monkeys adopts a special child, a baby boy who was abandoned deep in the forest as an infant. Under the monkeys' careful care, the boy grows up happily, and they name him Tarzan. Having been raised by monkeys, Tarzan is as agile as them and makes many forest friends. Until one day, an explorer deep in the forest disrupts Tarzan's peaceful life, and he discovers that he is actually a part of humanity. Tarzan falls in love with the explorer's daughter, Jane, but the actions of humans leave him torn between returning to humanity or continuing to live in the forest. How will Tarzan ultimately decide?
