On the way to camp in the forest, young boy Sean (Rick Schroder) experiences a terrible car accident with his parents, who unfortunately both die in the crash. Whether it's a blessing or a curse, Sean survives. In the vast wilderness, the little boy wanders around all alone. This whole scene is witnessed by Patrick (William Holden). Patrick is fully aware of his terminal illness and knows that his time is limited, so he comes here hoping to rest peacefully on his homeland. Thus begins the journey of Patrick and Sean, one leading to rebirth and the other to an end. Along the journey, Patrick continuously imparts survival skills to Sean in the wilderness, while Sean hones his inner strength through learning. A journey with two endpoints, will they each reach their destinations successfully?
