Scientist Wayne Szalinski (played by Rick Moranis) invents a machine that can enlarge and shrink objects, but in his excitement, he forgets to tell his two children. As a result, this magical device shrinks his kids and the neighbors' kids as well. Four kids embark on an exhilarating adventure. The small, flat yard transforms into a towering, dense tropical jungle, insignificant insects become fierce, gigantic beasts, and once ordinary things instantly turn into giant obstacles. However, the careless couple only realizes something is wrong when they discover their children are missing. How can they turn the kids back to their original size? Meanwhile, the most pressing question is, where exactly are they in the house...?
