The most advanced alien civilization in the galaxy attempts to establish diplomatic relations with Earth, but a series of misunderstandings leads to unforeseen incidents. The alien messenger's spaceship crashes into the atmosphere and ends up in a world park in a city in China. Geng Hao (played by Huang Bo), who makes a living performing monkey tricks, and his friend Dafei (played by Shen Teng), a wine dealer, mistakenly believe the injured alien is a monkey from South America. With their own monkey injured, Geng Hao starts training this so-called "Congo Monkey." Due to the loss of its superpower-enhancing equipment, the alien can only endure the antics of these two silly Earthlings. Nevertheless, it still tries to retrieve its equipment. On the other hand, the superpower that failed to communicate with the alien, based on the information left by the alien, starts searching the world for the alien messenger. The fate of Earth is heading toward an unpredictable direction... This film is inspired by Liu Cixin's science fiction novel "The Village Teacher."
