Dongqiu (played by Choi Woo-hyuk), an 11-year-old child with an IQ of only 60, is a whimsical and innocent boy. Born with a mental disability, he believes that the happiest thing in the world is to go to school. Although he vaguely feels he is different from his classmates, he is content to be in the lively company of his peers, even if it means remaining an outsider watching them, or going to a place far from the classroom to fetch water for them. Dongqiu does not understand why his classmates always smile at him, and he always responds with a sweet and innocent smile. However, one day, Dongqiu's water bottle mysteriously "flies away." It turns out that his small happiness has been taken away by a new water dispenser—now his classmates no longer need his help. Finally, Dongqiu finds a new source of joy: the baseball team is busy training, and the issue of water becomes a headache. Therefore, Dongqiu, the "water assistant of the baseball team," appears with a bigger water bottle, continuing his "water monitor" career. Watching the athletes under the blue sky, he gradually falls in love with the magical baseball that can make players cry and laugh, and he begins to dream of becoming a baseball player chasing the lively bouncing ball. What new and bittersweet experiences will Dongqiu face in the baseball team? Interestingly, his father, Jin-kui (played by Jeong Jin-yeong), is seen as an invincible guardian in Dongqiu's eyes. Whether in dreams facing dangers or in reality encountering difficulties, the SOS superhero that comes to Dongqiu's mind is always his father riding a delivery motorcycle from the fried chicken shop. "Dongqiu, Dad will protect your water bottle and your way to school for life"—Jin-kui raises his son, who has a disability, alone while managing the fried chicken shop. As long as Dongqiu doesn't dream of chicken monsters, he patiently teaches his son to count, "One chicken, two chickens, three chickens..." To help Dongqiu remember the way from school to home, he spends three full years doing so. Although it is laborious, he strives to ensure that his only son can live a normal and healthy life, all while working hard and devising ways to teach him self-sufficiency. As Dongqiu grows up, Jin-kui faces new challenges: the school believes Dongqiu should transfer to a special school for the disabled as soon as possible; the pompous landlord suggests they move to avoid gossip. The life path originally planned for Dongqiu seems unable to continue. Jin-kui, who desperately wants his son to grow up in a healthy environment, is determined to be an invincible dad—what actions will he take to safeguard his son's future…
