During the Tang Dynasty, political turmoil ensues as the female lead, Wu, seeks to claim the throne and establish the Wu Zhou Dynasty, facing growing opposition. Rumors circulate that the Great Alchemist Yuan Tiangang, having been commissioned by Emperor Taizong, secretly created a prophecy called the Twelve Heavenly Secrets "Tui Bei Tu," which predicts the fortunes of Wu based on the techniques of divination and is intended to control the female lead, known as "Lotus Born Emperor."
