This film tells the story of the protagonist, Ge Su, who seeks to uphold justice in the world by finding the whereabouts of the Monkey King, Douzhan Shengfo, in order to overthrow the brutal rule of the Mischievous Six-Eared Macaque. During his search, he gradually discovers that the disappearance of Douzhan Shengfo is related to a conspiracy by the dark Bodhi to break the seal and regain control over the Three Realms, and that the Six-Eared Macaque is merely a pawn being used by the dark Bodhi.
