He Zhiping (played by Jin Shi), a staff member at the Alishan weather station, is devoted to his research and neglects his wife, Jun Li (played by Mu Hong). Feeling lonely, Jun Li's mental state becomes unstable, and she often relies on alcohol to numb herself. Zhiping's brother, Zhi Xiong (played by Ou Wei), who lacks ambition, arranges for the thug Gao Da Hao (played by Tang Jing) to hide at the weather station to evade the police.
During their escape, Gao Hao encounters a runaway girl, Xiao Shan (played by Luo Wan Lin), and they disguise themselves as father and daughter to go to Alishan. On the mountain, Gao Hao meets a young girl, A Hong (played by Tang Bao Yun), whose innocence makes him feel guilty, prompting him to want to take Xiao Shan away. At this moment, Jun Li, overwhelmed by emotions, suddenly rushes into Gao Hao's room on the night of the typhoon, wanting to escape with him.
Unfortunately, the storm is too severe, and with the police guarding the area, the three have to return to the weather station, leading to Xiao Shan contracting pneumonia. After the pangs of conscience and Zhiping's persuasion, Gao Hao finally decides to take Xiao Shan to the hospital and goes to the police station to turn himself in, while Zhiping and Jun Li rekindle their relationship.
