Johnny is the manager of Mr. Nick's chain of hotels, but due to the economic crisis, his hotel went bankrupt, and Johnny lost his job. He lives with his wife on the island of Crete, and he is an immigrant. They have two sons and a daughter, and the immense economic pressure makes Johnny appear very exhausted. He becomes addicted to online gambling, but at his wife's advice, Johnny decides to start a new life. He tries to find many jobs, but due to age and other issues, he doesn't find a suitable position. Finally, at the seaside, he accidentally wins a fishing day with Captain Andrea, with all the fish going to him as a grand prize. This outing gives Johnny a different perspective; he lets go of his pride and takes off his suit. He goes to the fields to help farmers pick grapes, and his diligent work earns him recognition from everyone; his wife prepares a lavish lunch for them. His eldest son and daughter are troubled by their choice of majors, as young people are losing direction in life due to economic pressure. Johnny suggests they return to the countryside and choose agriculture as their major. He himself also practices what he preaches, observing the pristine natural environment on the island, learning about winemaking, and understanding its history. Eventually, he chooses to give up searching for hotel work and shifts his focus to the land. He decides to collaborate with farmers to develop agriculture and tourism, and under the guidance of several farmers, he finds his direction in life. In the evening, gathered together under traditional Greek songs, he realizes what kind of life he truly wants, embracing his wife. He is determined to promote Crete's agriculture to the world.
