The seemingly ordinary Sato (played by Hitoshi Matsumoto) is actually the sixth-generation Big Japanese Man. The Big Japanese Man refers to a group of individuals with special physiques; they appear normal but can grow hundreds of times their size when stimulated by high-voltage electricity in the presence of a strong enemy, granting them immense combat power. His ancestors enjoyed great honor in ancient times and during World War II, but in Sato's generation, prolonged peace and rapid economic development have led to the decline of the Big Japanese Man's market. In reality, Sato lives apart from his wife and daughter due to financial constraints, and his once-glorious grandfather has moved into a nursing home due to dementia. To make ends meet, Sato has to act as a living advertisement every time he transforms. Even with gigantic monsters frequently appearing, the Big Japanese Man no longer enjoys fame, and the once-heroic figure is increasingly looked down upon by many... This film is the directorial debut of Japanese entertainment star Hitoshi Matsumoto.
