In the heart of the Amazon jungle, adventurous scientists Tulio (voiced by Rodrigo Santoro) and Linda (voiced by Leslie Mann) discover the nearly extinct wild blue Spix's macaw. The couple announces this astonishing news to the world through television, prompting Jewel (voiced by Anne Hathaway) to persuade her husband Blu (voiced by Jesse Eisenberg) to take their three mischievous and lovable baby parrots, who are accustomed to human civilization, back to their ancestral home to find their kind.
