Linda's mother wrongly accused Linda of stealing a ring. To make up for it, she has to cook a plate of black pepper chicken for Linda on the day all the shops are on strike. This is a niche independent animated film produced in France, a second collaboration between directors Sébastien Laudenbach and Chiara Malta after their short film in 2020. It tells the story of familial conflicts and the sincere feelings between mother and daughter, along with the chaos in the streets caused by a chicken, using an abstract artistic style. The simple hand-drawn art blended with vibrant colors presents an astonishing and warm artistic impact, making each frame look like a beautiful modernist painting. Selected for the "Independent Film and Distribution Association" parallel section at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
