In a small mountain village near Trento in Northern Italy called Daone, a group of grandmothers in their eighties are planning a special trip. Soon, it will be the twentieth anniversary of their Rodo Dendro Senior Club, and on this special day, they want to do something extraordinary: a trip to the seaside and a celebration of the Feast of the Great Snow. Most of the grandmothers have never been to the sea, and they hope to see the mysterious ocean during their lifetime, but they need funding to prepare for this important journey. The grandmothers have come up with many ideas, such as making and selling cakes, and even overcoming their shyness to create a calendar featuring themselves as models. However, these efforts have yielded little success, and the funds are still lacking, leading to conflicts within the group. Yet, some are not willing to give up on this dream; even if it's just once, they want to keep trying. When the grandmothers start using the internet, things seem to take a different turn. Will they be able to achieve their dream?
