The story takes place in the bustling metropolis of Chicago, where a series of gruesome dismemberment murders have left residents living in fear. The perverse and brutal killer not only slays victims but also cruelly removes a part of their bodies, leaving these severed limbs unaccounted for. John (Christopher Lambert) is the investigator assigned to the case, and under immense pressure from his superiors and the media, he works tirelessly on the investigation. As the investigation deepens, some crucial clues begin to surface. John is convinced that the killer's methods are related to the biblical Book of Revelation, and that the removal of limbs is part of a twisted plan to assemble a statue of Christ, fulfilling the mad goal of resurrecting Christ. Although there are leads in the case, the situation worsens; if John's reasoning holds true, it means that more people in the city will fall victim.
