Another film focusing on the Manson murders is here, with Hillary Duff starring as Sharon Tate in "The Haunting of Sharon Tate." On August 9, 1969, Tate, who was then the wife of director Roman Polanski, and four friends were brutally murdered by serial killer Charles Manson and his followers in their Beverly Hills mansion, just two weeks before she was set to give birth. Tate was stabbed 16 times, and the killer wrote "PIG" in her blood on the front door. Jonathan Bennett plays Tate's protective ex-boyfriend and close friend, with Lydia Hearst also appearing. Daniel Farrands writes and directs, telling the story from Tate's perspective in her final moments before the murder. The plot draws inspiration from an interview with Tate, in which she revealed that she dreamed of ghosts haunting her home and foresaw her death at the hands of an evil cult. Produced and financed by Skyline Entertainment, Lucas Jarach and Eric Brenner serve as producers.
