During the Yemeni Civil War in 2019, a middle-aged couple lost their jobs due to the country's economic collapse. With three children, they are struggling to make ends meet, and the impending arrival of a fourth child adds to their burdens, making abortion seem like the only option. This film, directed by Am Jamal, is based on the true story of a friend, and thanks to the cooperation of extras, he captures the daily life of this family with restrained and documentary-like shots, showcasing their hardships in details ranging from the struggles of grocery shopping to the helplessness of being forced to move. The film also explores the highly controversial issue of abortion in Yemen and the immense pressure faced by women. Nominated for the Audience Award in the Panorama section of the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival.
