In early spring, the vacationing Maiako (played by Satomi Kobayashi) takes a flight to a seaside town in the south, where she meets a group of people at the inn where she is staying: the innkeeper Yuji (played by Ken Mitsuishi), who has a dog named after himself; Sakura (played by Masako Matsu), a shaved ice expert who always smiles behind her glasses; Haruna (played by Mihiko Ichikawa), a university teacher who often loiters nearby but is not a guest; and a young man named Aicao (played by Ryo Kase), who comes looking for Maiako. The five of them, all wearing glasses, do strange morning exercises together by the sea every day and then have breakfast together... Although life is calm and beautiful, Maiako decides to continue her travels...
