Saori (played by Eiko Koike) was once an idol shining with brilliance and hope on stage, but her past glory has long faded. Now, she works as a cashier in a supermarket, lacking motivation and hope for the future, her whole being feels as if she has sunk into a mire, lacking vitality. The only being with whom Saori can express her inner thoughts is a Russian Blue cat named Ryo. Every night, in the quiet of the night, Saori chats with Ryo. Over time, Ryo starts to develop delusions, believing he is human and even Saori's boyfriend.
