On a windless summer, former writer-turned-realtor Zhou Xunsheng welcomes a new tenant, a clear-eyed, youthful theater actor who loves to perform in life. He quickly becomes the subject of Xunsheng's observations. However, before the stage play "The Seagull" premieres, the actor loses his role but discovers that he has become the protagonist of Xunsheng's novel. An actor craving to be seen, a writer who can only express his emotions through fantastical words, confused and blurred between different roles, releasing his desires. Director Kong Qinghui navigates between multiple texts and identities, dialectically engaging with truth and falsehood.
