When Chen Yuyan was thirteen, her father passed away, and her mother remarried to pay off debts, leaving Yuyan to stay with Aunt Wang. Aunt Wang's son, Zhixiong, was Yuyan's childhood friend and these were her happiest days, unfortunately, Zhixiong's family moved away, and Yuyan reluctantly went to live with her mother. Yuyan refused her father's arranged marriage and ran away from home.
