1 Pop Art (POP) literally means popular art. Its meaning is similar to that of pop music/culture. 2 This film interviews a number of father figures of POP, something that other art movement documentaries have never done. 3 POP uses accessible expressions to challenge seemingly elegant abstract modern art. The former is embraced by the public, while the latter is often just incomprehensible to individuals. 4 POP takes a form similar to marketing and promotion, but in essence uses the same means to create counter-campaigns against marketing. 5 The climax of POP occurred in 1950s New York, while the hotspots of the 21st century, even its representative figures, are in China.
