During his childhood, his family fell apart, and after growing up, he had a strained relationship with his mother (played by Hiroko Yakushimaru). Wandering aimlessly in society, getting into trouble, unemployed youth Taiyu Hasebe (played by Kazunari Ninomiya) finally finds a job, but on the eve of the interview, he gets into a fight, and while escaping, he accidentally falls and becomes paralyzed from the waist down, unable to stand again. A wheelchair will become his lifelong companion. Just as his new life is about to begin, it comes to a sudden halt, leaving Taiyu in despair. With encouragement from his psychologist Minami Yoime (played by Yosuke Asari), fellow patients, and everyone around him, Taiyu actively participates in rehabilitation training and gradually regains hope in life, as fate smiles upon him once more… This film is based on the autobiographical work "Life Counseling" by psychologist Taizo Hasegawa.
