The young and beautiful Qingqing (played by Su Huilun) is a successful commercial hand model. She and her husband Ah Xiong (played by Zhang Han), an architectural designer, are busy with their respective careers, rarely communicating and each bearing immense pressure from within and outside; the Aboriginal couple Bi Yong and A Mei live a simple life, working from dawn till dusk, transporting magnolia flowers between Taitung and Taipei just to earn a meager living, always worried about their daughter Shawi (played by Du Xiaohan), who is drifting in Taipei; Shawi, who hated her parents' alcoholism in her youth, ran away from home and vented her frustrations through mixed martial arts; Niu Jiao (played by Gao Jie), who lost a leg, drives a modified truck with Ah Xian (played by Zhang Yangyang), Niu Jiao searches for discarded Buddha statues, while the unlucky Ah Xian looks for various amulets, and their lives seem to be on the road.
