A painter arrives in a remote village, trying to end his life. He stays at the home of an elderly woman living at the top of the mountain. Her face, ravaged by time, does nothing to diminish her vitality; amidst the wild mountains, her frail body continues to bloom brilliantly. The ending is profoundly shocking: that powerless life ultimately cannot be ended; while those full of life abruptly meet their demise in an accidental incident... This seems both reasonable and unexpected, for life is inherently fragile.
