Looking back at青春, the person I didn't want to miss the most over the years has always been you. But this time, I really missed you. The film is inspired by the travel essay "Youth 18×2: A Journey on Japan's Slower Trains." 18 years ago, a backpacker from Japan named Ame (played by Kiyohara Kaya) arrived at the store where high school student Jimmy (played by Hsu Guanghan) worked, and they spent a summer working together. Jimmy gradually develops feelings for Ame, but she is set to return to Japan. Faced with his inability to express his feelings, Ame proposes "a promise"... As time passes, Jimmy returns to his hometown and discovers a postcard sent by Ame from Japan 18 years ago. Memories of first love resurface, and Jimmy boards a train to Ame's hometown, embarking on a solo journey in Japan.
