Asuka Hiraki (Yuki Amami) is a 36-year-old career woman who is highly trusted by her clients and superiors at work, surrounded by equally talented individuals. Once, Asuka had a failed marriage that resulted in a daughter named Ayumu Oda (Mayuko Fukuda), and the longing for her daughter is the only regret in Asuka's life, as they haven't seen each other for three years. One day, Asuka is shocked to learn that she has an incurable disease and has little time left. Thus, she decides to make up for the missing part of her life by spending her last moments with her daughter. However, at this critical moment, Asuka's ex-husband is preparing to introduce his fiancée, Yuri Momose (Hiromi Nagasaku), to their daughter, hoping she can accept this new mother.
