The skull of the Nine-Transforming Spiritual Boy from Tibet is auctioned in Hong Kong, purchased by the tycoon Mr. Zheng. That night, a group of thieves and two young pickpockets from the mainland, Xiao Jian (played by Xia Yu) and Xiao Bing (played by Zhang Wei Jian), simultaneously break into Zheng's home to rob it, but accidentally trigger the alarm. In the chaos, Xiao Jian steals the Nine-Transforming Spiritual Boy and threatens a passing taxi driver, Alan (played by Vincent Wan), to take him away. Along the way, they are spotted by their senior sister Hou Ying Ying (played by He Wan Ying), who manages to chase after them, and the trio activates the magical powers of the Nine-Transforming Spiritual Boy, leading them to travel back in time to ancient times... The three land on the Mongolian grasslands and are captured by Genghis Khan's men.
