Young Sergey Kravinov (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson) has a father (played by Russell Crowe) who believes in "survival of the fittest" and subjects his offspring to a brutal wolf-like education. During a hunting trip, Sergey is abandoned by his father after a wild lion attack. On the brink of death, he unexpectedly mutates due to lion's blood, becoming the superpowered hunter Kraven, embarking on a path of revenge against his father, while the appearance of the Rhino Man seems to hint at a larger conspiracy.
