The film's art director, Fu Yue (played by Lin Yichen), has to leave the crew midway to return home to care for her gravely ill father. She puts aside the renovation of an ancient house in Taipei and goes back to her hometown of Chiayi to be with her family. During her time there, Fu Yue follows in her grandfather's footsteps, recalling his beliefs and inherited faith, and finds her own strength for a new beginning.
