Yang Yang (played by Zhang Rongrong) is a Franco-Chinese mixed-race athlete who competes in the 400 meters. After her mother recently remarried her coach, Yang Yang moves in with her coach’s family and refers to his daughter and teammate, Xiao Ru (played by He Sihui), as her sister. Xiao Ru’s boyfriend, Shao En (played by Zhang Ruijia), is captivated by Yang Yang’s beauty, which sparks jealousy in Xiao Ru, leading to underlying tensions between the two families.
