Zombies, demons, and a mad doctor await a bus full of people searching for Aztec ruins. Father O'Sullivan is a Catholic priest who has lost his faith in God and cannot forget the nun with whom he had an affair (and a son). O'Sullivan serves as a guide for archaeology students Carl, the New Age Wilbur, and runaway Laurie, as well as tourists DuZoss and Frost during a bus trip in Mexico. What surprises O'Sullivan even more is when his lover Tacey boards the bus with her son Evan. In Mexico, Carl reveals his knowledge of an important ancient text, coinciding with the Day of the Dead celebrations. Meanwhile, the evil Dr. Um-tzec is plotting to deify himself, ultimately transforming into the god of death, and what he needs to complete is the sacrifice of children's hearts... many, many hearts. As Father O'Sullivan struggles with seeing Tacey again, Dr. Um-tzec approaches him to perform an exorcism; but...
