The American Museum of Natural History reopens, with security guard Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) leading Teddy Roosevelt (Robin Williams) in planning an exciting opening show. However, shortly after the performance begins, Teddy and the monkeys fall into chaos, and all the museum's friends cause an uproar, leaving Larry in a state of panic. Afterwards, he discovers that the golden tablet is being corroded by a green substance, which seems to be causing the exhibits to behave wildly. Larry researches and deduces that there are hidden secrets behind the golden tablet. To stop the chaos from spreading, he decides to go to the British Museum to seek help from Pharaoh Ahkmenrah's father, with all the quirky exhibits tagging along. Along the way, they meet Sir Lancelot of the Round Table and get separated from their companions, including Octavius. The long-awaited adventure unfolds under the night sky at the British Museum…
