The story takes place in the distant year 2078, where the mining organization NEB discovers an element called "Berynium" on the planet Sirius 6B. This element contains tremendous energy that can be used as a power source. The organization sends a group of miners to the planet for energy extraction; however, the workers soon realize that Berynium has strong radioactivity and is completely unsuitable for use. Though the miners strongly demand to halt the mission, the organization remains unyielding. In desperation, the miners form a spontaneous "Alliance" and begin a long-standing confrontation with the organization. To withstand the organization's fierce attacks, the Alliance develops small robots called "Screamers," which possess agility and powerful offensive capabilities, causing significant harm to the enemy. However, what the Alliance does not know is that the robots have unknowingly evolved self-awareness and wish to become the rulers of this planet.
